Some people didn’t learn to swim as a child, and that’s perfectly ok. Your age isn’t a barrier to learning to swim. Anyone can become a confident swimmer and enjoy the water.

It's never too late to learn to swim

Swimming is a life skill. It’s a great way to keep fit and a fun leisure activity to enjoy alone or with friends and family.

Adult swim lessons provide a safe and supportive environment for people looking to learn how to swim, build on their existing ability or develop their swimming technique and performance.

All welcome: Our adult swimming lessons cater for all levels of ability and fitness – everyone is welcome, whatever your age.

1-1: We take adult lessons on a one-to-one basis. This allows us to be able to take time to understand your goals and offer specific support tailored to your needs. You can depend on our calm, caring and supportive approach to teaching.

Take it at your own pace: From beginners to seasoned swimmers looking to improve technique, we teach at a pace to suit you.

Pool or open water? Our adult lessons are typically pool based, but do consider the naturalistic landscape of open water – it might just put you at ease.

Tailored swimming lessons for every adult

Our swimming lessons are tailored to suit your level of ability and fitness. From complete beginner to those wanting to build swimming confidence. We identify imperfections and plan improvements using video tuition. Go faster for less effort!

Will I need to be a member at the pool to take lessons?

Not at all! Our lessons include the admission fee and are for anyone to join.

Don’t worry, we are happy to talk you through what will happen and address any fears. Ian is an Advanced Aquaphobia Coach.

For your session, please bring a swimming costume, a towel, warm clothes to change into afterwards, and a bottle of water. If you have a swim cap and goggles, feel free to bring those too. Most importantly, bring a positive attitude!
