Open / Cold Water Group Sessions
Group Swims
These sessions are for experienced open and cool water swimmers. Each session will allow up to a maximum of half an hour in the water. However it is recommended that you only stay in for as long as is comfortable and safe for you.
For those wishing to undertake an extended swim, this will be at the discretion of Kuotos Swim and Whitmore Lakes after prior consultation.
As you will be observed whilst in the water, we will identify and request that, you exit the water should we deem it necessary, for your safety.

We welcome both skins and wetsuit wearing swimmers who are able to swim in excess of 100m straight distance.
Brightly coloured swimming hats are compulsory and we highly recommend the use of a tow float to increase your visibility in the water.
Supported Group Swims
This is a unique opportunity to group swim in safety. Within this session I will be fully supporting you during your time in the water. Swimming alongside and observing from a stand up paddleboard. I will be helping to increase your confidence in the water whilst ensuring your safety at all times.
These sessions are reserved only for people who have attended the ‘Group Introduction to Open / Cold Water swimming’ session at Whitmore Lakes with Kuotos Swim.

Throughout the whole swim you will be supported and guided by Ian, a qualified Open Water Lifeguard along with other safety team members.

Introduction to Cold Water Immersion
A unique group session for a maximum of 6 people.

Ian will talk through with you what to expect and how to control your body, whilst explaining the golden rules and demonstrate how to safely warm up after your dip.
We will be with you throughout the whole session, ensuring that you have the safest and best experience possible.
We will then retire for a hot drink, a de-brief and advice from Ian about the next steps.

It is important to note that this is not a swim.

Cold water immersion experience is a short immersion in the water only, with time in the water being closely monitored and adapted for each individual and the prevailing conditions.
